Artist Notes:
My grandfather kept bees bare-headed & bare-handed, he was that steady.
Twelve years after he died, this is my homage to him.
He is lifting the cover off a hive, the bee smoker standing on the next hive.
His pants are pragmatically held up by a rope tied in a square knot.
He is still my exemplar.
