The paintings featured here were created between 1955 and the present day.
I started showing in NY galleries while still a student at
The Cooper Union in the late ‘40s. After graduation,
I went to France, studied in Paris, and met and spent time
with Picasso in his ceramics studio, Atelier Ramier in Juan
les Pins.
I returned to New York City in 1950 and spent the next two
decades showing at galleries throughout the U.S. while living
in a succession of studio lofts on 17th St, 10th St, 28th
St, and The Bowery. The paintings featured in the New York
section of the gallery were painted during this period in my life.
